Dental Veneers ?
A veneer is a wafer-thin layer, custom-made to fit over the visible surface of a tooth and bonded permanently in place. Because each veneer is shaped and colour-matched to your smile, the result looks like a natural, healthier version of your own teeth. Veneers are usually chosen for the front teeth that show when you smile, and can treat one tooth or several together for an even, balanced look.

Types of Veneers: Porcelain vs Composite
There are two main options, and I’ll recommend the right one for your goals at your consultation:
custom-crafted in a lab, highly durable, and excellent at mimicking the way natural enamel reflects light. They resist staining well and typically last many years.
built up directly on the tooth in a single visit using tooth-coloured resin. Faster and more conservative, though generally not as long-lasting as porcelain.

Porcelain veneers can last many years with good care, and composite veneers a few years. Longevity depends on your oral hygiene, habits like grinding, and regular check-ups.
Do veneers damage your teeth?
Veneers require only a very thin layer of enamel to be reshaped so they sit flush, and this is done conservatively. Your natural teeth stay healthy underneath, and Dr Shreya always aims to preserve as much tooth structure as possible
Porcelain or composite veneers — which is better?
Porcelain is more durable and stain-resistant and looks the most natural; composite is faster, more conservative, and completed in a single visit. The right choice depends on your goals, which Dr Shreya will discuss at your consultation
Are veneers painful?
Getting veneers is usually comfortable. Any minor enamel reshaping is done with local anaesthesia if needed, and most patients feel little to no discomfort. Some mild sensitivity afterwards is normal and short-lived.
